Kent County Health Department Monitoring Traveler with ‘Very Low’ Ebola Risk
The Kent County Health Department announced it is monitoring a person who recently traveled from a country in West Africa, WOOD-TV8 reported.
The country this person traveled from has suffered an Ebola outbreak, but this person is what the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is calling a "very low" risk.
The person in question had no contact with anyone in Africa who had Ebola, and the monitoring is part of the new guidelines provided by the CDC.
Their identity has not been publicly revealed and they are being contacted by the health department twice a day.
The individual will be required to report their temperature each time the health department checks in.
