KDL Cardholders Can Now Get Into FMG And GRPM For Free

We have some great news for Kent District Library cardholders!  You might already know that your library card gets you more than just books, but did you know that you can now get into local museums for free with your library card?

The Kent District Library announced their brand new "PerkPass" last week and it is going to get you into some local area attractions for free!

The new PerkPass is automatically tied to your KDL library card, so you don't have to sign up for anything new, and it will get you into the Grand Rapids Public Museum, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and Frederik Meijer Gardens for free.  And that's just the beginning, because KDL is hoping to add more attractions to the PerkPass in the future.

Note: You can't just show up at the museums or FMG with your library card and expect to get in for free. You need to reserve your pass online at kdl.org/perkpass.

There are some stipulations to the free passes, however.

• You must be over 18 to use the PerkPass and there are limited passes each month, so it is first come first serve.
• Only one free pass per PerkPass and only one pass to each attraction per calendar year.

In addition to the brand new PerkPass, KDL already has a couple of other programs in place to give free and/or discounted entry to some of our state's parks. You can use the KDL Michigan Activity Pass and "can print a pass to one of many state parks, historic sites, cultural attractions, campgrounds and recreation areas throughout the state. Some cultural partners offer complimentary or reduced price admission; others, discounts in their gift shop or other exclusive offers for MAP holders only."
