My computer is getting a little old. I've had it several years now, and with all the demands I'm making of it, it's getting slower and slower. I'm doing a lot of videos now, and I really need this thing to keep up. I don't have the money to just buy a new one, so I decided to try to get more memory for it, to see if I could make it better.

I tend to blow things up a bit, when I try to "make them better".

I've broken a lot of perfectly serviceable computers in my day, sadly.

This memory upgrade looked pretty simple, though. Unscrew the bottom, pop the old ones out, pop the new ones in. Easy!

And you know what, it really was! I don't know if it is an Apple thing that made it super simple to do, or I just got really lucky today, but I swapped the memory out with little problem.

My biggest hurdle was finding the right screwdriver to get the damn thing open. After that, easy-peasy!

If you're looking to keep your computer around a bit longer, to save some money, try upgrading your RAM...it's not too tough, and only cost me about $60 to double my memory.
