Huntington, PNC, + Others Announce Numerous Bank Closures Including Michigan

At least 10 national banks have announced that they will be closing dozens of locations throughout the US, including a handful of branches here in Michigan.

Some branches have already been shuttered within the last couple of weeks while others are slated to close sometime in 2024.

What National Banks Are Closing Branches?

These are the 10 national banks that have announced they are planning closures:

• PNC Bank, NA
• US Bank, NA
• Bank of America, NA
• First National Bank of Pennsylvania
• Huntington National Bank
• Capital One, NA
• Fifth Third Bank, NA
• JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA
• KeyBank, NA
• Woodforest National Bank

Additionally, Huntington Bank announced in October last year that it plans to close more than 30 branches, including nine here in Michigan.

What Banks Are Being Closed in Michigan?

PNC Bank, NA is slated to close two locations in Michigan. Those branches are located in Livonia and Pinckney:

• 19450 Haggerty Road, Livonia
• 222 West Main St., Pinckney

Huntington National Bank has added its branch in Gaylord, Michigan (located at 2091 S. Otsego Ave.) to its list of branches that will be closing this year.

Huntington Bank Will Attempt to Help Relocate Employees

Kris Dahl is a spokesperson for Huntington Bank. Dahl indicates that Huntington will make an effort to move displaced employees to similar roles at other branches.
