The personal finance website WalletHub recently released its list of America's "Most Pet-Friendly Cities in 2024". Study authors considered a wide range of criteria, including the monetary ramifications of being a pet owner in each city; the most suitable places for the optimal health and wellness of pets; and how outdoor pet-friendly each city is.

Even more pet-friendly units are available if you're searching for an apartment or a townhome.

One of more than 300 dog-friendly apartments in Detroit can be rented for as little as $725 per month. Cat-friendly apartments and townhomes in Detroit are even more plentiful - more than 350 were available when we checked, some for as little as $550 per month.

And that's just in Detroit proper! The number grows even further when suburbs are considered. No other city in America can boast a rental market as pet-friendly.
