The ship, which launched back in 1958 and was once the largest ship on Michigan's Great Lakes.

Then on November 10, 1975, during a fierce storm on Lake Superior, the ship sank, taking all 29 crew members with it to the bottom of Lake Superior.

The boat and its crew were remembered by Gordon Lightfoot's song, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."

Iconic Michigan apparel company, Stormy Kromer, has announced that they are doing a special limited-edition Edmund Fitzgerald Original Cap.

This cap pays tribute to the legendary Great Lakes freighter and its crew, nearly fifty years after its tragic loss.

The cap features a distinctive dark blue and black check pattern, evoking the stormy waters of Lake Superior, and is adorned with a custom faux leather patch symbolizing the Edmund Fitzgerald.
