How Free Beer and Hot Wings Spent America's 250th Anniversary

Hi Idiots.

It's been a minute since we did a post like this, eh? It felt fitting to do a good 'ol-fashioned vacation recap summarizing how each of us spent our time off over the 4th of July holiday. Considering this 4th of July marked the 250th anniversary of the Red, White, and Blue, our motley crew celebrated in a variety of ways (including two members being out of the country on the special day).

Oops.

Two of us were abroad, one of us went to another world (sort of), and the other three went around the great state of Michigan. Here's how things went for each of us.

Kelly

Kelly left shortly after the show on July 2nd and boarded a flight to France. She split her vacation between France and Spain, going to a Bad Bunny concert in France before meeting up with her ~Spanish Lover in Spain, where she ate lots of anchovies and did sightseeing. Tommy

Tommy also left the country, heading to Vancouver to hang out with a friend. He ate lots of food, explored the city, rode a bike in the mountains, and watched a lot of soccer. Like, a lot. This was a very World Cup-oriented trip that culminated in his attending the Colombia-Switzerland matchup.

Steve

Steve, sporting his brand-new "dad hat", made a trip down south to Disney World with the family for the first time. It was a hot trip, but the kids had a blast. Speaking of blasts, for Independence Day, he stumbled across some very oddly named fireworks.

Free Beer

Free Beer and his family spent most of the vacation along Lake Michigan, chillin on the beach and nights that ended in campfires. He also brought his clan of kids to Michigan's Adventure, an amusement park here in Michigan, and watched them become adrenaline junkies.

Maitlynn

Maitlynn stayed here in Michigan, but she was busy. For the 4th, she spent it out on the lake and by taking part in a golf cart parade (seriously). Then she spent the time golfing and held a "Weenies and Martinis" party, with martinis and hot dogs as the centerpieces. Oh, and she made hot dog vodka, which tasted as good as it sounds.

Hot Wings

Hot Wings had a low-key vacation throughout the weekend, and capped off his time off by heading up north to Mackinac Island and Marquette way at the tip of the Upper Peninsula.
