Michigan's State Flower
Michigan is known for its apples so it only makes sense that the apple blossom has been the state flower since 1897.

Apple blossom is native to Michigan and is one of the most fragrant and beautiful flowering apple species. I loved riding my Harley in the Fruit Ridge area just outside Grand Rapids in the spring when the apple blossoms bloomed.

After the Gulf of Mexico's name was changed, talk about changing Lake Michigan's name began. Some on social media have mentioned a possible new state flower already seen blooming.
Does Michigan Have a Secondary State Flower?
This time it's not a useless politician declaring the apple blossom no longer be Michigan's state flower but Michiganders suggesting a secondary option.
A poster on the Michigan Reddit page said, "Michigan state flower in full effect!" Then the poster "FluffyAd8209" posted a photo similar to the one above with the phrase, "At the first sight of spring, the state flower can be seen blooming on every roadside." I live on a dirt road and had no idea the snow had filled in all the potholes until it melted and looked like Swiss cheese.
