International Space Station Now Visible from Grand Rapids
The International Space Station will be visible to the naked eye in Grand Rapids through July 27th!
What makes it even cooler, is there is a Grand Rapids astronaut on board right now!
So bust out your telescope or binoculars and wave hello as she passes! Christina Hammock Koch is slated to set a record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman with an expected total of 328 days in space!
According to NASA the ISS is visible from the ground under the right weather and time of day conditions. They say it is the third brightest object in the sky.
The ISS is estimated to be visible from Grand Rapids and surrounding areas Monday, July 15th at 10:30p.m., Tuesday at 12:05a.m. and 1:43a.m. Check out more estimated times you might spot ISS through July 27th.
