The city known for the Tulip Time Festival and gorgeous beaches along Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa will now have another claim to fame.

Holland, Mich. will be the exclusive production place of Kraft Heinz Co.'s iconic mustard Grey Poupon, company officials announced this week.

The company plans to expand operations at the Heinz Holland plant, which produces Heinz pickles, vinegars and other other sauces, by moving 100 percent of production of Grey Poupon there, and insourcing the majority of Heinz Yellow Mustard to Michigan.

WZZM -13 reports that the project will generate 17.2 million in private investment and create 50 jobs in Holland.

Heinz history in Holland goes back to the late 1800s. Kraft Heinz Factory Manager Brian Baculik said in a statement.

"Back in 1897, Henry John Heinz had the vision to expand his operations into Holland, Michigan, driven by the area’s rich agriculture and eager workforce. The community embraced the opportunity. Nearly 120 years later, the Heinz facility remains Holland’s oldest employer.”
