A man originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, has been accused of filming and participating in sex acts with dogs.
Dogs Are Supposed to be Man's Best Friend
Dogs are supposed to be man's best friend and nothing else. I see the TV commercials of abused dogs and it just makes me sick. Why have a dog and not take care of it?
Sadly, we live in a world where creeps do unmentionable things to other humans and even animals.
What is an Animal Crush Video?
First, what is an animal crush video? These videos are an extreme version of violent porn shared online where animals are filmed being tortured and killed. Apparently, there are people who have a weird fetish for seeing animals treated in this manner to satisfy their crush fetish.
I had never heard of anything like this until today and I discovered this has been such a problem a law had to be created to ban this type of behavior in 2010 called the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act.
Former Grand Rapids Man Accused of Making Animal Crush Video
His name is Lucas Russell VanWoert and according to WOOD, he has been charged with 4 counts of creating of animal crush video and 4 counts of distribution of an animal crush video which he allegedly sent to a person in Australia.
VanWoert's problems began when a 51-year-old man in Australia was arrested on animal cruelty charges as well as bestiality. Australian investigators found videos and photos on the man's digital devices that linked back to VanWoert.
The Department of Homeland Security then got involved and was able to link the videos using GPS tracking data to a Michigan truck stop. VanWoert just so happens to be a truck driver who was allegedly using his semi-trailer as a sick movie set.
VanWoert moved from Grand Rapids to Ohio three months ago and according to WOOD, admitted to investigators that he engaged in sex acts, beating, and strangling a dog, and then got rid of the dog's body by dropping it off in a garbage dumpster.
