Grand Rapids Has Some Of The Worst Roads In The Nation
It's not any surprise to residents of Grand Rapids that we have bad roads, but it might be a bit of a surprise that we are in the top 10 for worst-maintained roads.
With 52% of our roads considered to be in poor condition, Grand Rapids snuck into the top 1o worst-maintained roads in the United States. But of all of the cities in the top 10, Grand Rapids has the highest percent of roads in good condition with 37%. The other 11% of roads are in mediocre to fair condition.
The top 10 cities with the worst-maintained roads are almost all from either the Midwest or California. Let's check out the top 10.
- San Francisco, CA
- Los Angeles, CA
- San Jose, CA
- Detroit, MI
- Milwaukee, WI
- Bridgeport-Stamford, CT
- Omaha, NE-IA
- Oklahoma City, OK
- Grand Rapids, MI
- Tulsa, OK
And having bad roads, doesn't help the bad drivers we have here in West Michigan. You can watch our old intern Cheyenne's drivers test on those crappy roads below.
