Free Beer & Hot Wings: Matthew McConaughey Gives Terribly Unmotivating Speech to Texas Football Team [Video]

Motivational speeches should be reserved for people who are loud, outgoing and a little crazy.

Chris Farley taught us this in his "Livin' In a Van Down by the River" skit from NBC's "Saturday Night Live" many years ago.

Matthew McConaughey is pretty much the polar opposite of Farley.

He's soft spoken, relaxed and just cool. He doesn't get too pumped up, even during a motivational speech.

We learned this when we checked out his motivational speech to the University of Texas football team.

However, Texas did beat Kansas 23-0. So, it worked apparently.
