Free Beer & Hot Wings: Local Reporter Won’t Be Stopped In Face of Big Pumpkin Riots [Video]
Local reporters often get a bad rap for generally being terrible, and rightfully so.
Jared Goodell, though, wasn't going to stand for the establishment shutting his reporting down.
While reporting at the Keene Pumpkin Festival, near riots stemming from police interaction at a Keene State College party in Keene, N.H., Goodell just wanted to give the details of what was going on.
Festival organizer Ruth Sterling wasn't so fond of the plan to tell folks there were riots at the family event, so she took events into her own hands. While reporting live on public access television, Sterling can be seen accosting and attempting to steal the microphone from Goodell.
True to his journalistic standard though, Goodell fought back the repeated attempts in a hilarious cat and mouse game of "hide the microphone."
