Founders to Release KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

The latest release in Founders Brewing Company's 2020 Barrel-Aged Series is going to be a good one! They are combining KBS and Mackinac Fudge flavored coffee and adding maple syrup.

Founders made the announcement on their Facebook page that soon they will be releasing KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge!

The post says: "The newest KBS variant pays tribute to the sweet and rich Mackinac fudge that Michiganders know and love. We took our original KBS recipe and swapped out the traditional coffee mix for a Mackinac Fudge flavored coffee from our friends at Ferris Coffee & Nut Co., added maple syrup and began the barrel-aging process. The end result is a decadent delight that will be available in 12 oz. bottles and on draft in our taprooms on October 8."

This should be a great new take on their barrel-aged classic KBS. They will be amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding in maple syrup and making it even better by aging it in oak bourbon barrels! This sounds like a great combination of flavors. The beer will have an 11% ABV.

I will definitely be in line at Founder's to try out this release!!

Last month, Founders announced a Michigan-exclusive release of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout.

The Founder's Taproom in Grand Rapids is located at 235 Grandville Ave. SW. Their hours are Wednesday to Sunday 11 am to 9 pm with the last seating at 8:15 pm. They also have a Taproom in Detroit at 456 Charlotte Street.
