Far-Right Supporters In Grand Rapids Go Viral For Their ‘Unique’ Perspectives
Last week the ReAwaken America Tour stopped in Grand Rapids and some of the attendees have gone viral for their comments. Some in Grand Rapids aren't too happy with how they represented the city.
Walter Masterson of MeidasTouch.com interviews attendees outside of the event to get their views on world matters and US politics.
The event, hosted by Trump ally Michael Flynn, was presented by conservative podcast host Clay Clark. Attendees paid to see right-wing stars such as Michael Flynn, Mike Lindell, Lin Wood, Sidney Powell, and Roger Stone. Many of whom are currently under investigation for their roles in frivolous lawsuits surrounding the 2020 presidential election.
While the reporter was dressed in what could be considered a 'right-wing' costume, the website describes itself like this: MeidasTouch is a progressive, next-generation super PAC founded by three siblings (and lifelong Democrats) with the primary goals of protecting American democracy, defeating Trumpism, and holding Republicans accountable.
In the video, attendees of the conference seem to keep making contradictory statements about refugees and the current situation in Afghanistan:
The video was originally posted on the Public Freakout forum before being re-posted to the Grand Rapids forum on Reddit. Commenters were nearly universally appalled by the way these attendees represented West Michigan:
My god the fake white lady tears followed by “let’s hold off on that for now”
Oh shit, this is grand rapids! Haha! Oh man this is sad.
Dang, I watched this earlier today and was ashamed enough before realizing that this was GR.
So these are Christians that don't want to help refugees...interesting
Oh that last lady knows how to manipulate people with her facial expressions like a virtuoso sociopath
Love the fake tears from that last lady quickly transitioning to "not in my country!". Ughhhhhhh.
