Eco-friendly shopping is getting easier in Grand Rapids. Earthly Refillery, the city’s first zero-waste refillery, has been helping locals cut down on single-use plastics since opening up in southeast Grand Rapids in 2022.

Customers are encouraged to bring their own containers and buy products by the ounce, eliminating unnecessary packaging. Shoppers can also buy reusable glass containers for household and personal care essentials.

Owner Anna Crooks launched Earthly Refillery with the goal of making sustainable living simple and accessible. Customers can fill up on natural, chemical-free products like soap, shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath, and moisturizers, as well as eco-friendly items like bamboo toothbrushes, hairbrushes, reusable paper towels, and biodegradable trash bags.

Crooks also offers recycling services, helping locals learn how everyday choices can reduce waste and protect the planet.

Building on that mission, Earthly Refillery has now opened a second location downtown Grand Rapids at Studio Park, 122 Oakes St SW. This new store also offers groceries like milk, frozen foods, coffee, tea, seasonings, rice, and other bulk staples—bringing zero-waste shopping to the heart of the city.

With two locations in Grand Rapids, Earthly Refillery continues to make eco-friendly living approachable, practical, and rewarding. The new store is open seven days a week 9a.m. to 9p.m.

You'll find the original location at 410 Ethel Ave. SE. It's open Tuesday through Friday 10a.m. to 6p.m., Saturday and Sunday 11a.m. to 7p.m.
