Eagles of Death Metal Frontman Suggests Security Might Have Been in on Paris Attacks

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes said in a new interview that he believes some of the security guards at the Bataclan might have had advance knowledge of the terrorist attacks that took place on Nov. 13.

Hughes told former MTV VJ Kennedy – now with Fox Business Network – that he had a strange feeling about one of the guards at the venue before the show started and was told some of the security staff didn't show up the night of the show where 89 people were killed.

"When I first got to the venue and walked in, I walked past the dude who was supposed to be the security guard for the backstage. He didn’t even look at me," Hughes said. "I immediately went to the promoter and said, 'Who’s that guy? I want to put another dude on.' He said, 'Well, some of the other guards aren’t here yet.' And eventually, I found out that six or so wouldn’t show up at all."

When Kennedy asks why he believes that happened, Hughes replied, "Out of respect for the police still investigating, I won’t make a definite statement. But I’ll say that it seems like they had a reason not to show up."
