When Eminem and Dolly Parton were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Parton had hoped to meet Eminem at the event, but the two were unable to connect. She instead sent him a letter that Eminem posted below.

WOOD TV8 reported that Eminem paid tribute to Dolly Parton, saying he was sorry they never had the chance to meet. He said receiving a personal note from Parton had a profound impact on him, adding that she “definitely didn't have to take the time to do it.” Eminem concluded his message by wishing Parton to “rest easy” and thanking her for her kind words.
