The Detroit Tigers added another right-handed power hitter Monday night, January 18th, after the team and free agent outfielder Justin Upton agreed to a six-year deal.

USA Today's Bob Nightengale first reported the deal, which is believed to be in the $125 million range.

Upton joins a lineup that already features some of the biggest bats in the game, including perennial MVP candidate Miguel Cabrera and emerging star J.D. Martinez.

Upton spent the 2015 season with the San Diego Padres, where he hit 26 home runs and collected 81 RBIs. He's a career .271 hitter.

The deal will become official once Upton passes a physical.
