Dan Skipper Welcomes Daughter After Scoring First Touchdown
On a team of standout players like QB Jared Goff, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, and running back duo "Sonic and Knuckles" David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, you wouldn't expect a lineman to be a player that fans rally behind will even chant for. But most linemen aren't OL Dan Skipper, who gained a reputation among the fan base after a controversial loss last season to the Cowboys.
Since then, fans have been rooting for the NFL's tallest player all season. Finally last week in a tough loss to the Bills, Skipper scored his first career touchdown. But that wasn't his only big milestone that night. It has since been revealed that, shortly after his first touchdown, his wife also gave birth to their first daughter.

One of the things that people appreciate most about Dan Skipper is his work ethic. It was something that HC Dan Campbell specifically said was one of his most admirable traits, calling him an "ultimate survivor". That work ethic was shown in a viral video a few weeks ago from the Lions' locker room.
That work ethic paid off when he scored his first career touchdown in a dramatic 2nd quarter touchdown. But his big moment might be upstaged by his wife who was having a big moment of her own just miles away. Shortly after the game, the Skipper family would welcome their 3rd child, a daughter named Miller, into the world.
Dan Skipper truly will never forget the 15th of December. Skipper and the very banged-up Lions continue their tough schedule this Sunday against the Bears.
