
Michigan Pizza Chain to Open Late Night Joint Downtown Grand Rapids
A new option for late night bites is coming to downtown Grand Rapids!
Cottage Inn Pizza is planning its second location in the area.

The chain first opened in Ann Arbor in 1948. It was reportedly the first restaurant to serve pizza in the city. In 1975, the restaurant began expanding. Since then, Cottage Inn has opened more than 50 locations in Michigan and Ohio.
In West Michigan, you'll find Cottage Inn Pizza locations in Allendale, Kalamazoo, and Niles, and East Grand Rapids. That location on Wealthy Street opened in October.

According to Crain's Grand Rapids, Cottage Inn Pizza is opening a new location downtown Grand Rapids at 15 Ionia Ave SW #140.
It's the site of a former brunch restaurant, Daisies Place. I'll be honest, I didn't even know Daisies Place closed! It first opened in late 2023. But yes, it's now listed as permanently closed on Google.
Cottage Inn Pizza downtown Grand Rapids will serve pizza by the pie and slice. You'll also find wings, calzones, and subs, available for dine in or delivery.

Crain's Grand Rapids reports that on certain nights, the restaurant will be open until 3a.m.
Work is set to begin transforming the space. The plan is for Cottage Inn Pizza to open downtown Grand Rapids in May 2025.
