After having to cancel a date in Kalamazoo slated for last weekend, Oswalt has made good to West Michigan with Grand Rapids stop this spring.

On his Twitter feed Monday morning, Oswalt announced a May 21 at the newly purchased GLC Live (formerly 20 Monroe Live) venue in downtown Grand Rapids. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, and fans can get tickets before they go public by using the code word "PATTON" on his web site pattonoswalt.com starting Tuesday morning. You can also pre-order with the code word at Ticketmaster.

While Patton says the date is Sunday, May 1, it is actually Saturday, May 21, which means a lot to people who get up REAL early during the week.

In addition to a long and wonderful stand up career, Oswalt starred for years as Spence on the Kevin James sit-com King of Queens. He also has made appearances on TV shows like Parks and Rec, Community, Two and a Half Men and Brooklyn Nine Nine.

He also was the voice of the lead mouse character, Remy, in Pixar's Rattouille and had roles in comedy movies Zoolander, Big Fan, Man on the Moon and 22 Jump Street.

Oswalt had a memorable appearance at the Grand Rapids charity comedy event LaughFest at the Fountain Street Church back in 2015. When the temporary curtain behind him fell inches away from his head and covering him, Oswalt emerged from the pila and went off on a fifteen improv about it being a sign from God, and used the low purple light, to do a faux scary riff on Vincent Price.

Hard core Oswalt fans loved it!
