Watch: Cliff Break Off From Pictured Rocks?
Remember when a 200-foot cliff face dramatically collapsed into Lake Superior? Watch the video, it’s both terrifying and hilarious.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
One of the most beautiful places to visit in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The sandstone cliffs are breathtaking, but there are also waterfalls, beaches, dunes, forests, and more to check out.
The main attraction is the sandstone cliffs that face Lake Superior at Pictured Rocks. I have only been to the park briefly to walk around and see some of the sights from the beach, but the real thrill looks like seeing the Pictured Rocks from a boat or a kayak would be the best way to enjoy the park.

A Chunk of Pictured Rocks Fell Into Lake Superior
Could you imagine being on that pontoon boat and witnessing that in person? The footage is incredible and surreal. According to Upper Michigan Source, in mid-July 2021, a man by the name of Jahn Martin videoed a 200-foot cliff face break off and slide into Lake Superior. Martin said the waves were 10 to 12 feet tall.

Below are what people had to say about the video on Facebook.
Make sure your volume is turned on when you watch the video above; the audio of the people on the boat is hilarious!
Brad must have been the calm guy filming the rockslide with his phone.
I bet those 10 to 12 waves were a wild ride on a pontoon boat.
Too bad someone wasn't videotaping the passengers on the pontoon.
