The village of Ada continues to grow.

AHC+Hospitality plans on breaking ground on 'The Ada House' sometime later this year, reports GRBJ. The new hotel will be three stories with 24 rooms and "...will offer the most modern efficiencies today’s guests expect.” The main floor will feature a restaurant and bar area that will also serve as space for weddings and other private events. Guests will also be able to enjoy access to the rooftop.

The inspiration for The Ada House comes from the original Ada Hotel from the 19th century. AHC+'s Vice President says the goal is to give people the experience of enjoying both time periods -- history with modern amenities.

Construction will take between a year to a year and a half to complete.

The Ada House will be located at River St.
