Michigan's Top Bed and Breakfasts

USA Today and 10Best asked readers to vote for their favorite bed and breakfast spots. A panel of experts chose 20 charming inns for their comfort, style, and hospitality, and then it was put up to a public vote.

The results are in and two Michigan inns are being crowned among the nation's best! Both are in Saugatuck. Congratulations to Judson Heath Colonial Inn and Wickwood Inn!

Wickwood Inn: A Saugatuck Landmark

Wickwood Inn nabbed the No. 6 spot. Nestled just one block from the Kalamazoo River and minutes from Lake Michigan, Wickwood Inn has been a Saugatuck favorite for decades. Originally built in 1937, the home once belonged to Frank Wicks, the mayor of Saugatuck in the 1950s.

Judson Heath Colonial Inn: Hip, Historic, and Nationally Recognized

Also located in downtown Saugatuck, Judson Heath Colonial Inn brings history and modern comforts together. It was voted the No. 3 best bed and breakfast in the entire coutnry. Built in 1837, the inn has served as a stagecoach stop, private residence, and resort over the decades.

Restored in 2017 by Stephen Boyd and Jennifer Davenport, it now features eight guest rooms with antique furnishings, private baths, and even some Jacuzzis.
