Grand Rapids Area Wild Animal Park Welcomes Baby Giraffe
What a wonderful Christmas present!
A West Michigan animal park has a new arrival - a baby giraffe.

Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park in Alto shared the news to Facebook earlier this month, saying,
Well we experienced an early Christmas miracle over here at Boulder Ridge... Please join us in welcoming our new baby Giraffe to the world! Isn't she precious?!
The little one is well, actually not so little. She was born at approximately 6 feet tall and 100 pounds!
According to the park, both baby and mother Ginger are healthy. They do say that Ginger's milk did not come in, so they are currently bottle-feeding the young giraffe.

Any suggestions for the sweet girl's name? Boulder Ridge is open to suggestions.

Located on 80 acres at 8313 Pratt Lake Ave. SE., the park is home to more than 460 mammals, 800 birds, and 130 reptiles. This past summer Boulder Ridge welcomed its first apes - a pair of white handed gibbons.
Each July Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park hosts "Baby Animal Days" to celebrate the parks youngest animals.
It's likely you'll be able to meet the new giraffe along with a bunch of other cuties at the event this summer!
