Well, some residents at a local senior living facility found out about it when Deputy Wilson of the Kent County Sheriff's Office stopped by on April 1.

StoryPoint in Rockford shared video of Deputy Wilson informing residents that bingo would be banned, saying,

Today, our StoryPoint residents were served with an official notice regarding the Bingo Prohibition Act. Algoma Township officially banned Bingo as it is considered a form of gambling. Please watch the entire video to ensure your loved one was not part of the participants.

Upon Wilson's announcement, protests can be heard, with folks arguing that they don't play with actual money... One resident wonders if the deputy has handcuffs on him.

When Wilson says he'll have to clear the tables as bingo is no longer allowed, that's when folks really get amped...
