A Hard Rock Hotel Might Be Coming To Kalamazoo

A brand new hotel from Hard Rock Hotels might be coming to Kalamazoo in the next couple of years.  The hotel chain announced their plans to purchase and redevelop the iconic Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Manufacturing Co. site in a press release on March 1st.

The new hotel will be one of Hard Rock's new REVERB branded hotels.  The REVERB branded hotels are a new take on the Hard Rock brand and only a single Hard Rock REVERB is currently open to the public and it's located in Atlanta.  Hard Rock REVERB Hotels are meant to be a "cultural hub for connection, creation and inspiration among music fans, locals, and travelers alike."

In the press release from Hard Rock, they say "Working in partnership with PlazaCorp Realty Advisors and Dora Hotel Company, REVERB by Hard Rock Kalamazoo is expected to be built on the renowned Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Manufacturing Company site, keeping a keen eye on maintaining the historic parts of the property."

The construction of the hotel will begin as soon as they have everything lined up and ready to go.  They have a completion date of Fall 2023.
