Mediterranean Restaurant In Grand Rapids Area Closing for Good
It continues to be a tough time for Grand Rapids area restaurants.
Recently we've told you about several local eateries closing their doors, including House of Wine and Creston Brewery. Now the owner of multiple Mediterranean restaurants has announced that one is shutting down.

Well, if you're a fan of 616 Kabob Stop Express in Allendale, go in soon! The restaurant is set to permanently close in the coming weeks.
Al-Abboudi shared news of the closure to Facebook saying,
After much thought and with heavy hearts, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our Allendale location in the coming weeks. The past few months have brought many challenges, and it’s made it tough to keep things going as we’d hoped.
There is a silver lining though! Fans of Kabob Stop can still visit the location on Plainfield. Al-Abboudi is opening up a new comfort food eatery too, also in the Creston neighborhood.
It's called 616 Batter Mix and it will serve fried chicken, fried fish, fried pickles and okra, mac and cheese, and more. 616 Batter Mix is located at 2468 Plainfield Ave NE. An exact opening date has yet to be shared, so follow the restaurant on Facebook for updates.
