35-Year-Old Olympian Shoots His Way to a Medal
An Olympian was just millimeters from a gold medal but still shot his way to a silver medal even though he was one of the older Olympians competing.
Olympic Archery
Most of what I know about archery has to do with deer hunting. You don't have to be an Olympic shooter to need plenty of target practice.
If you want to win a medal in Olympic Archery you definitely will need a lot of practice.
Olympic Archery has been going strong for 124 years. The competition features individual, mixed team, and team events.
One thing that separates Olympic Archery from other archery events is shooters can only use recurve bows which is much harder than compound bows used in other non-Olympic shooting competitions.
Getting a medal in Olympic Archery takes great accuracy and precision. South Korean archers have won the most gold scoring 32 out of 44 in Olympic competitions since 1984. One Olympic archer has competed in 5 Olympic games and recently got a silver medal.

Ellison was 5 millimeters away from winning his first Olympic gold medal. Ellison said, "I shot great all day, all tournament, it's probably one of the best performances I've had at a Games.
That's a great attitude to have after coming that close to gold.
