Ottawa County Sheriff's Department are in search of an 18-year-old boy who went missing New Year's day.

According to WOOD, 18-year-old Hunter Klompstra who is from the Coopersville area was last seen New Year's Day.

Klompstra was at a friend's house for a party on Leonard Street just east of 68th street south of Coopersville and left the home at 2 a.m. and has not been seen since. He was traveling on foot.

Klompstra is around 5 foot 5 inches and weighs 145 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair. The last outfit he was seen wearing was a dark brown coat with a grey hoodie and blue jeans.

Ottawa County Sheriff's have been searching with dogs and volunteers as well as the Michigan State Police who have been using a helicopter.
