Near the end of 2022 and 42 years into Metallica's amazing career, they continue to shock the world. Releasing Lux Aeterna, announcing a new album 72 Seasons due April 14, and dropping a world tour all in one day stunned the world with one of the best-kept secrets in musical history. I'm sure there will be more surprises coming in 2023.

One of the things that really shocked fans globally was not just Metallica dropping a tour but the support bands for the entire tour and that Metallica will play different sets on both shows in each market. Who does this kind of thing? Sets up a world tour that does performances only on Fridays and Sundays...only Metallica.

When tickets went on sale for Metallica's M72 Tour fans were only allowed to buy tickets for both shows. This ensured that the core Metallica audience would be able to see both sets since they will play one set on Friday and a completely different set on Sunday. Surely a dream for a diehard Metallica fan.

Not everyone can go to different shows to see Metallica and that is another reason why they are now releasing single-day tickets for the M72 Tour.

Beginning Friday, January 20 at 10 am local time fans can get tickets for either Friday, November 10, or Sunday, November 12 at Ford Field in Detroit.

There is a fan club pre-sale that starts Monday, January 16 at 9a.m.
