Why Gears of War 2 is still fun…

If any of you check out my show, you would notice that I love the Gears of War series for XBox 360. It has stellar gameplay, deep story, great detail, and chainsaws. What more could you ask from a game? Well, let's pick out why this game is good...

1. Story: It is a great continuation of the first game, and along with Aeris getting shanked by Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII, Dom having to put his wife out of her misery, is pretty damn heartbreaking.

2. Gameplay: Easy to pick up 3rd person shooter. I get really tired of first person shooters because it seems like the market is just clogged with them (i.e. Call of Duty, Halo, Resistance, it goes on...). Gears of War (and Resident Evil 4) was 3rd person shooting done right. Plus the duck and cover thing is accurate and fun. Blind shooting is handy too!

3. Graphics/Detail: I believe a game can look really good, but suck MONKEY S___!  Graphics are not everything people, but with Gears of War, it looks great. The detail on the characters and environments are awesome, like they took their time on this.

4. Campaign/Multiplayer: This is where the game shines. The campaign keeps you going till you run out of energy drinks. Add a friend and its even better. Extreme Difficulty modes never were cool for me, but throw in a friend, and the fun never ends. The multiplayer is where it is at, in one word, HORDE MODE! Grab 5 people and battle wave among wave of enemies and kill em' all. How could this not be fun.

Why is Gears of War 2 still fun? Replay value, and that is something many games don't have today still. You can still play this game, and find multiple reasons to play it again. Hence, I am looking forward to Gears of War 3, due out this September.
