Where And What Did The DNR Stock in Michigan Waters in The Fall of 2022?

The DNR stocked Michigan waters in the spring, summer, and this past fall. The spring is when the biggest numbers of fish get stocked but the DNR held no punches this past fall getting nearly 625,000 more fingerlings into Michigan waters.

MLive reported the following locations and fish that were stocked in the fall:

• 41 Locations in both the Upper and Lower peninsulas received nearly 29,000 fingerlings and adult brook trout.
• Glen Lake received just over 50,000 rainbow trout fingerlings.
• 4 locations near Manistique received over 330,000 fingerling steelhead.
• 18 locations in the Upper and Lower peninsulas received just over 28,000 muskellunge fingerlings.
• Great Lakes received nearly 12,000 muskellunge fingerlings.
• Just over 150,000 fingerling steelhead were released in two locations near Kalamazoo.
• 16 locations received fingerling walleyes as well as just over 17,000 Muskegon strain fall fingerlings.
• Pontiac Lake received nearly 240 Muskegon strain fingerlings.
• 3,000 muskellunge were put into Lake Michigamme in the Upper Peninsula.
