Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that the UK government will be covering 50% of all meal costs as a part of their 'Eat Out To Help Out' scheme to get people to eat at restaurants that are struggling right now.

It sounds dirty, but it's not.

It works at participating restaurants and makes it so that a family can eat out without breaking the bank. Kind of  cool concept - I wonder if it would work in the United States?

You don't need any sort of voucher or anything to take part in it, it's just automatically applied on the specific days at the specific restaurants.
