The wedding dress is one of the most, if not the most, important part of a bride's big day and many soon-to-be brides in West Michigan are worried they won't have a dress in time.

One of the biggest bridal retailers, Alfred Angelo, shut down all of its 60+ stores nationwide unexpectedly on Thursday, July 13th. WZZM says the company confirmed they filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and plan to liquidate all of their assets. This includes the one location in  West Michigan, on 28th Street in Grand Rapids. A sign on the door says for customers to e-mail predmond@stearnsweaver.com.

However, Alfred Angelo's attorney told WZZM that have a list of people who purchased dresses from the store and will get them shipped out as soon as they can.

WOOD-TV reports that a number of local bridal shops have reached out to help stressed out brides.

Customers weren't the only ones who were left in the dark, but employees too found out on Thursday that it would be their last day.
