Wendy’s to Start Serving Breakfast Nationwide Next Year
Another fast food franchise is getting in on the breakfast game. While about 300 Wendy's currently serve breakfast, they are rolling it out at all locations next year.
Todd Penegor, President and CEO of The Wendy's Company said in a release,
"Launching breakfast in our U.S. restaurants nationwide provides incredible growth opportunities. We are well-positioned to pursue it. We believe we have the right team and structure in place, and we put Wendy's fan favorites on our breakfast menu to set us apart from the competition."
According to CNN, Wendy's breakfast menu is inspired by their afternoon menu, and yes, will include a Breakfast Frosty.
So far, Wendy's has revealed these new breakfast items:
- Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich: Fried chicken with whipped honey butter served on a biscuit
- Breakfast Baconator: An egg, several strips of bacon, sausage patty, American cheese, and hollandaise sauce on a bun.
- Frosty-ccino: Iced coffee mixed with either chocolate or vanilla Frosty cream.
Business Insider reports adding breakfast will cost Wendy's $20 million and that Wendy's plans to hire an additional 20,000 employees.
