I've decided to do a weekly blog focused on professional wrestling.  It will feature random thoughts and news stories that stick out to me.  Let's get into it...

Chris Jericho will make his final WWE appearance at a Smackdown taping in Austin, TX on August 14th.  After that, he will hit the road with his band, Fozzy, for live concerts and promotional work.  [SOURCE]

Here is Fozzy's latest single, Sandpaper featuring M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold.

TNA's Hardcore Justice pay-per-view on August 12th appears to have an excellent card.  Here are the matches...

World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries defends against former champion Bobby Roode.

BFG SERIES LADDER MATCH: AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle vs Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe.

BFG SERIES TABLES MATCH: Jeff Hardy vs James Storm vs Bully Ray vs Robbie E.

BFG SERIES FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH: Mr. Anderson vs Rob Van Dam vs The Pope vs Magnus.

Miss Tessmacher defends the Knockouts Championship vs Madison Rayne.

Kid Kash and Gunnar vs Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez.

Zema Ion defends the X-Division Championship vs Kenny King.

I think TNA has obviously made a lot of mistakes over the years, but they seem to be on the right track lately.  While WWE is focusing on everything but wrestling, TNA should do the complete opposite.  They've always had a very talented roster, but questionable booking and overall inconsistency have held them back.  I think it's very important that this company succeeds for the overall health of the industry.

AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle vs Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe has the potential to be match of the year.

According to PWInsider.com, At this week's FCW taping in Tampa, FL, Steve Keirn announced that The Undertaker and wife and former WWE Diva Michelle McCool are expecting their first child.  That is the first time WWE has acknowledged their relationship.  At the same show, wrestleview.com is reporting that The Undertaker was asked by a fan if he would be putting his undefeated streak on the line at Wrestlemania 29.  The fan said that The Undertaker was the only reason he travels each year to Wrestlemania.  Undertaker apparently told him "not to make any plans for April."  He later added, "we'll see what happens."

AW's controversial Kobe Bryant comment on 'Raw' was discussed on ESPN's 'Around The Horn'.  Israel Gutierrez said he had a big problem with it and shame on WWE for airing it.  Doesn't Gutierrez realize that it was live TV?  How can WWE be blamed for airing it when it was something that AW said on a live microphone?

I'm going to include a random video each week that will highlight some of my favorite moments in wrestling history and I want to start with one of the best promo guys of all time, Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

This is how you cut a promo.  It should also be noted that Gene Okerlund is great here as well...

Shaffee worked on the pro wrestling independent circuit for over a decade.

Shaffee was a two-time PWF Champion, managed Sabu in over 100 matches and appeared in several promotions including TNA and Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
