On October 22nd, We Are Harlot hit the Intersection for a show, hung out with a lot of fans, and then talked to me about the band, new music, and their last ten months on the road. Meet Danny Worsnop and Jeff George from the band!

Before the interview, the guys in the band brought some pizza and sodas, and hung out with all the GRD ticket winners before the show! They took photos and signed things, and then answered questions from everyone that came out to meet the band!

They even took all the winners up on stage with them to get photos with them on their stage. Fun times.

Then, it was heading back stage to relax a bit before the show, and talk about the band and their music.

Danny has fun memories of writing the debut album from We Are Harlot...sort of...

"I'll be real honest with you...a lot of this record we don't remember writing. A lot of it was in between trips to the house, going between bars. And it would be like, someone would have an idea, so we'd go down to the studio, hammer it out real quick, and go back to the bar."

I saw the band in 2014, on stage at Rock on the Range, and this was the band's first ever show, and it was a pretty big one. Big enough to get them a world record!

"That was the first show, 2014 Rock on the Range. We actually have the record for the biggest first show, 62,000 people or something like that. Pretty good, right?"

The band has not immediate plans on releasing anything in the very near future, since they've just gotten their debut out, and they see a long road with it, touring and playing more shows throughout 2016. But they already know what they want to do...

"We've told [the label] that we're going to produce [the next record] ourselves. It's the only way that we get exactly what we're looking for."

Watch the interview for more cool stuff from We Are Harlot, and look for their return to Grand Rapids in 2016!
