Both Volbeat's Michael Poulsen and Jon Larsen were among the massive outpouring of musicians paying their respects to Vinnie Paul over the weekend, but the love for the late Pantera / Hellyeah drummer didn't stop there. Volbeat made a point to honor Paul during their set at the 2018 Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium.

As the band began to perform the song "Goodbye Forever," video screens flanking the stage showcased a photo of Paul, as can be seen in the fan-shot footage and social media posts from the group below.

In the band's original post, penned by Michael Poulsen, they stated, "Today we sadly lost one of the great ones and a true sweetheart. Dear Vinnie, you were such a lovable guy and a friend with a big heart. Thanks for all the great moments together. Your company was always full of smiles. You will be missed by many. Love you my friend."

Meanwhile, in Larsen's separate post, he added, "What can I say, an amazing drummer and an amazing wonderful guy. R.I.P. Vinnie Paul."

Paul died Friday (June 22) at the age of 54. While it has been reported that he died in his sleep, no additional information concerning the cause of death has been released. See many of the other reactions to Paul's passing right here.
