TSA canines are highly trained to find explosives and are used in airports to keep passengers safe on airplanes as well as the airports. The dogs go through extensive training and so do the agents using them which is why it is troubling to see an agent mistreat a dog, especially one that is new to the field.

FOX 2 spoke with a former police canine handler who owns Michigan Dog Training Michael Burkey who said, "One, it doesn't look good: it looks horrible. Two the dog's not learning from it, and it's just rough on the dog. The dog wasn't ready to be put in that situation with that many distractions. Should have been more training of the dog and more training of the handler."
