Better Not Throw Away Your VCR Because VHS Tapes Making Comeback
If you have an old VCR in the basement, garage, or back of a closet, you may not want to toss it out during Spring cleaning because VHS is making a comeback.
Like Vinyl, VHS is Making a Small Comeback
Vinyl albums began to see a small surge again in 2007, and by 2010 vinyl sales began growing quickly. Fast forward to 2023, vinyl has come back so strong bands are now releasing vinyl copies of their new albums and sometimes going back to their catalog and re-releasing vinyl for anniversary releases.
VHS may now be at that stage vinyl was in 2007, and making a small comeback. What is crazy, just last week my son and I stopped into one of those second-hand movies and video game stores to try and find some old horror movies and when I got to the end of the rack I noticed a bunch of VHS tapes of old movies I grew up on and thought, I have seen any of those in years.
I actually have an old box of some of my favorite movies on VHS and rather than replace them with DVDs or Blu-Rays, I may see if I can find an old VCR that is in good shape
