Upheaval Festival Postponed Until 2021

What a bummer but under the current pandemic it should be of no surprise but the Upheaval Festival has been postponed until 2021.

Upheaval was set for July 17 and 18 at Belknap Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The festival featured some heavy hitters like Disturbed, Staind, Skillet, Chevelle, Hellyeah, Avatar and many more.

This was something that everyone who loved festivals was excited about because for once the big rock festival was going to be in our backyard.

The good news is, Upheaval is not going away but instead will be in 2021 and if all goes well it will have the same headliners with Disturbed and Staind. Time will tell on the lineup but here is the official press release for the promoters:

"Hey Rockers,
With the heaviest of hearts, we’re forced to postpone our inaugural Upheaval Festival to July16-17, 2021. In guidance with local and state health officials, we’ve been informed that hosting Upheaval this July is just too high of a risk due to COVID-19 concerns. We know this blows, but our hands are tied. This is an unprecedented situation that we have to take seriously. The health and safety of our fans and rock music community is and always will be our #1 concern!
We were so jacked to bring the first Upheaval Festival to Grand Rapids! The feedback, love and support you guys have given us has been unbelievable. We can’t thank you enough! You will love what we have in store for the first annual festival in 2021, and we're ready to show you the most amazing rock experience when the time is right. Until then, crank your favorite tunes tonight and every night until Upheaval is finally here! We believe that music heals. The power of live music is so important to us all and we’re going to get through this together! Now for some good news: we've been working with the artists that were slated for 2020, and we don’t see any reason why they won’t be able to play in July 2021. Please watch for more info in the months to come as we work through the lineup and event details.
The great news is your original ticket is valid for the 2021 festival and we can’t wait to rock out with you then! If you are unable to attend Upheaval in July 2021 or if you need your money now,we get it, you can request a refund. Refund information will be emailed to all ticket holders on May 29th.
