We are smackdab in the middle of the summer, and it has been a scorcher. The first day of summer, June 20th, saw record temperatures across Michigan, and Mother Nature hasn't let up since. Most of the time, Michigan has wonderfully temperate weather that is perfect for a day at the beach or a night out with friends.

While there are plenty of activities synonymous with summer, we wanted to hone in on the summer activities that are unique to Michigan. Some activities might be done nationwide, but even if that's the case, there's still a Michigander-twist that makes it pure Michigan.
