Tuesday, it’s time to grab your littles, dress them as their favorite superhero, and head to John Ball Zoo for Superhero Day,

While you’re there, you’ll be able to see all the animals as usual, but they’ll have various superheroes hanging out at the zoo as well.  As with everything during the coronavirus pandemic, there will be a few changes - the big one will be the meet and greet, which is still included with zoo admission, but instead one-on-one pictures, you’ll get a group shot from the Bissell Tree House deck.  All socially distanced 6ft apart too.

Also, since there are a limited number of tickets available throughout the day, as the zoo stays within COVID-19 guidelines, they encourage you to purchase a “timed ticket” meaning reserving a time you plan to go to the zoo ahead of time. Getting tickets ahead of time ensures entry, as they can’t guarantee entry for walk-up tickets. Also, anyone 5 years and older must wear a mask if you can medically tolerate one, in indoor areas and outdoors where 6-foot spacing isn’t possible.

The John Ball Zoo will be open 9 am - 4 pm Tuesday, August 4th, and admission is $14 for adults and $11 for kids ages 3-12 years old.

If you’re interested in enjoying the day at the zoo, you can purchase your reserved time tickets as well as see pictures of the superheroes that will be onsite, as well as get any more answers you have at jbzoo.org/superheroday
