A few weeks back, a 40-foot Concolor Fir arrived in downtown Grand Rapids from Dutchman Tree Farms in Manton, Mich. Soon it will be strung with 40,000 lights!

The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting downtown Grand Rapids in 2022 is Friday, Dec. 2, 5p.m. to 7p.m.

The all-ages event takes place along Monroe Center St. NW, between Monroe Ave. NW and Ottawa Ave. NW, near the Grand Rapids Art Museum.

The 40-foot tall Christmas tree will be lit at approximately 5:45p.m.

It's more than holiday lights!

This year’s event includes free s’mores, hot chocolate, hot tea, and snacks.
