For me, it’s a must-stop anytime I’m in Traverse City. I love their sun-soaked patio and, honestly, their whiskey-based slushes are my favorite. It’s the kind of place where the drinks, the atmosphere, and the whole vibe just make you want to linger.

The Michigan Distillery Getting National Attention
It’s Traverse City Whiskey Co.! Once again, they were in the running for Best Craft Whiskey in America and Best Spirits Tasting Room in USA Today 10Best polls. Experts initially picked 20 distilleries in each category, and then the public voted for the winners.

The results are in: No. 7 for Best Craft Whiskey and No. 3 for Best Spirits Tasting Room in the U.S.
Traverse City Whiskey: Local Ingredients, Up North Vibes
The distillery crafts whiskeys with local ingredients, including barrel-proof bourbon, rye, wheat, and unique fruit-forward options like peach and cherry. Their American Cherry Whiskey, made with Montmorency cherries from the owner’s family farm, is a standout.
