I've visited this Northern Michigan location and I have to say it's definitely gorgeous and definitely charming...

It's Leland/ Fishtown! Leland is located on the coast of Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula, nestled between Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau. It's historic Fish Town is amazing, with shops and restaurants right on the channel.

Not only has Leland/ Fish town been ranked among the top ten most beautiful small towns in the U.S. by Travel and Leisure, but also one the 13 prettiest spots in Michigan.

The restaurant he Food Network has deemed the most charming in Michigan is the Village Cheese Shanty in Fishtown! 

While I've walked by it the Cheese Shanty, I haven't tried their sandwiches yet. Well, that's gotta change as Food Network describes them as "life-altering." Stacked high with meats and cheeses, you get to choose from pretzel bread, baguette, or wrap. Enjoy salads as well - and of course, cheese!

You only have a bit more to wait until the Village Cheese Shanty opens for the season. Try their yummy. freshly-made sandwiches April through October.
