I'm a Nutty Buddy guy. Always have been, always will be. If an ice cream truck rolls through my neighborhood, that's what I would get. It turns out, that's not Michigan's top choice.

According to a map published by OuterBanksVacations.com, Michiganders favor a Choco Taco as their top truck treat. (BAM! How's that for alliteration!!!)

Choco Taco? Yeah, in a pinch I've had one before. It was in Kalamazoo, and the store didn't have the giant Nutty Buddy that I prefer, so I settled.

But in terms of ice cream to cone ratio, you're gonna have a hard time convincing me that the Choco Taco is a better buy than Mr. Buddy. Plus, now they put a blast of chocolate in the bottom of the Nutty Buddy cone!

The web site looked at Google Trends to find the most popular ice cream truck treat in all 50 states.  But general interest and grocery sales may have skewed the stats, because KLONDIKE BARS are #1 overall.

1.  Klondike Bars, nine states.

2.  Choco Tacos, eight states.

3.  Red-white-and-blue Firecracker popsicles, seven states plus D.C.

4.  Ice cream sandwiches, five states.

5.  Lemon Ice, four states.

Fudgesicles are #1 in three states . . . Drumsticks in two . . . Creamsicles in two . . . and Bomb Pops in two.

Another eight treats got one state each:  SpongeBob Ice Cream Pops . . . Snow Cones . . . Screwballs . . . Push-Up Pops . . . Malt Cups . . . King Cones . . . Crunch Bars . . . and Chipwich sandwiches with cookies and ice cream.

Look, back in the day, I could get excited about an ice cream truck rolling through the hood. Even when my girls were young, I would buy something for myself, and it was still kind of exciting.

But today, it's more like . . . "Oh, cool.  I can also get most of that stuff at the STORE now though."

In a side note, an ice cream truck rolled through my neighborhood at 11 at night recently, and I thought that was kind of creepy.
